To the right of the upper entrance doors, you will find an artwork by the Swedish street artist Julia Rio. Her passion for crafts, color, and form came to life as a child when her mother taught her to knit and crochet. Her career began on Brick Lane in London where she created her first piece of knitting graffiti. Since then, she has included mural painting, installations, and textiles in her artistic expression.
For Julia, street and mural art bring life and color to the city, contrasting with the clean and gray aspects of everyday life. Through this, we are invited into a parallel universe where anything is possible. Traveling, encounters with people, and places she has visited have inspired her art, which often consists of abstract compositions with a collection of patterns and symbols.
Julia aims to create a natural meeting place for people, viewing the public space as our shared living room and where she wants to create. She is delighted by geometry, patterns, and color, and therefore chose to create a piece containing these elements as a greeting to spring and summer.
