On the wall above SIT’s greyhounds, is an artwork from the Swedish artist Ver Tisoy. He has been active in arts and scenography, and worked with youth and culture since the 1980s. The piece is a triptych and depicts a fairy with influences from tribal patterns, with a wolf on each side.
For the artist, the fairy becomes a symbol of the child who can create something from chaos. The inspiration for the piece comes from a “Native American parable,” a story where wolves represent the good and the bad. The fairy, surrounded by the two, is trying to protect nature. She holds onto a rose that seems to have been born from a crack in the wall.
There is no coincidence that the artwork ended up right here. The artist thinks the area of Subtopia stands for young creativity, and the piece can give the surroundings a special feeling.
